This code of ethics guarantees the professional ethics of sophrologists.
It defines their commitments to the public, to their clients and to the profession.
Article 1
Sophrologists undertake to affirm the equality of persons and to respect their originality and dignity.
Article 2
Sophrologists undertake to prohibit all religious or ideological propaganda or proselytism within their offices or places of intervention. They pledged to fight against all the sectarian aberrations they would witness.
Article 3
Sophrologists undertake to respect and protect the physical and psychological integrity of the persons under their responsibility.
Article 4
The sophrologists undertake to respect the confidentiality of the information collected during their individual or group accompaniments.
Article 5
Sophrologists undertake to respect and enforce the legislation in force.
Article 6
Sophrologists undertake to regularly update their knowledge and skills in order to meet the expectations of the public and developments in sophrology.
Article 7
Sophrologists undertake to disseminate offers that are clear and comprehensible to the public. These offers must define the methods of accompanying, the objectives and limits of sophrology.
Article 8
Sophrologists undertake not to disseminate information that may mislead the public or the media or which may harm the image of the profession.
Article 9
Sophrologists undertake to use their right of rectification with the media in order to contribute to the seriousness of the information communicated to the public on sophrology.
Article 10
Sophrologists undertake to respect the general concepts and principles of sophrology. They also undertake not to distort or amalgamate sophrology with other techniques without their clients being warned.
Article 11
Sophrologists undertake to respect the limits of their competences and to refer their clients to another professional when the latter requires treatment or therapeutic assistance outside their competence.
Article 12
The sophrologists undertake not to substitute themselves for the medical professionals, not to make diagnosis, medical prescriptions and not to interfere with medical treatments in progress.
Article 13
Sophrologists undertake to maintain their professional ethics when acting under the authority of a company or an organization.
Article 14
Sophrologists undertake, as far as possible, to offer a colleague to their clients when they are unable to provide their services.
Article 15
Sophrologists undertake to maintain brotherly relations of respect and courtesy, honesty and good faith with other sophrologists.
Article 16
Any sophrologist who does not respect this code could be excluded from the Syndicale de Sophrologie.
