What is Sophrology?

Sophrology sessions with VivreSophro

The session takes place sitting or standing depending on the specific exercises being practised:

  • Simple breathing exercises
  • Gentle body movements
  • Positive visualisations

Sophrology is a therapeutic discipline, scientifically proven, designed to realise the person’s potential as it positively stimulates the skills and resources of the individual.

Practicing Sophrology is simple and can be easily integrated into the individual’s modern lifestyle as it requires no specific clothing or equipment. Clear benefits can be seen after just a few sessions. The person should feel calmer, more rested, more empowered and energised.

The method behind the science

Sophrology is built on 3 basic principles:

  • To re-establish or reinforce the harmonious relationship between body and mind
  • To develop the personal resources to fulfil projects and objectives
  • To become autonomous in practicing Sophrology

The Format

Weekly individual or group sessions of 1 hour x 1 day per week.
